The JRX218S is driven by a massive JBL 18" woofer with a cast frame and 3" voice-coil.

- L'enclosure robusto è costruito in MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) da 19 mm (0,75 pollici) utilizzando adesivi avanzati e tecnologia di fissaggio meccanico per durabilità e prestazioni migliorate alle basse frequenze. L'enclosure è rivestito in moquette nera.
- Un raccordo per asta in alluminio fuso da 35 mm montato sulla parte superiore può accogliere un'asta opzionale SS3BK per facilitare l'uso del JRX218S come base per un cabinet mid-high.
- Maniglie completamente in acciaio antisonore.
- Una griglia in acciaio perforato da 18 gauge attraente protegge i componenti dai danni.
