Features

  • ANALOG & DIGITAL INPUTS – With digital audio transport via HARMAN’s proprietary BLU-Link, plus balanced analog inputs, DCi gives you a tremendous audio advantage – at a much lower cost. The priority input router allows you to specify a primary input, and if audio is lost the amp automatically switches to the other input.
  • NETWORK MONITORING & CONTROL – Better monitoring, control and audio manipulation with the HiQnet™ protocol that’s over standard TCP/IP. Remotely see how all networked DCi amplifiers are performing and control them as needed. In addition, this allows Audio Architect software and the Powered by Crown app to work with DCi amplifiers.
  • PROGRAMMABLE GENERAL PURPOSE INPUT/OUTPUT PORTS – GPIO ports can be configured in many different ways, such as volume controls, recall presets, or to report errors to a master computer.
  • DIGITAL SIGNAL PROCESSING – DSP capabilities include the following:
    • LevelMAX Limiters
    • Input/Output EQ
    • Crossover
    • Delay
    • Matrix Mixer
    • Speaker Line Monitoring

EOL Box | End-of-line Terminator
EOL Box Main photo
Larger Images

The EOL box is used as an End of Line (EOL) termination in audio systems that use a 20kHz pilot tone to detect open and short conditions. The termination is placed at the farthest end of the loudspeaker circuit. Unlike most loudspeakers the EOL box is reactive at 20kHz such that the resulting current can be measured using HiQnet Audio Architect™ software. If the circuit is either opened or shorted, the measured 20kHz current will change. The EOL box presents either a 10Ω or 5Ω load at 20kHz, selectable using an external impedance switch. This method requires the 20kHz pilot tone to be mixed together with the audio. The pilot tone can be generated within the DCi Network or Dante family of amplifiers and the USP4 family of CTs amplifiers. Additionally the DSP built into the DCi Network, Dante and USP4 has the ability to allow for the pilot tone to bypass the internal speaker processing.

The Soundweb Contrio EC-4B is an Ethernet wall controller for use in Harman HiQnet systems. The EC-4B can control and monitor parameters within BSS Audio Soundweb London and other HiQnet devices, including Crown DCi series amplifiers. The EC-4B is available in black or white, and in single-gang US Decora or single-gang EU form factor. The EC-4B contains a single Ethernet port for configuration, control, monitoring, and power via PoE. The EC-4B is configured via simple drag-and-drop operations within the software application HiQnet Audio Architect.

The EC-4B contains four buttons and one LCD screen. The buttons and LCD screen are multi-color backlit, capable of eight different colors with adjustable intensity.

The four buttons can be pressed for binary parameter control (e.g. mute), preset recall, or source selection.

The LCD screen has a screen resolution of 64x128 pixels, and can display custom text.

The EC-4B supports ‘sleep’ functionality. After a specified amount of time with no user input, the EC-4B can turn off all LEDs. This is useful to avoid distraction in a dimly lit environment. Any user interaction will ‘wake up’ the controller.

The EC-4B can be remotely locked and unlocked via other control systems. The EC-4B can be locally unlocked via a four-digit PIN entry on the buttons.

  • Ethernet Wall Controller
  • Compatible with BSS Audio Soundweb London, Crown DCi, and other HiQnet devices
  • Available in Black or White
  • Available in US Decora or EU Version
  • Single-Gang Size
