Der ASB7118 ist ein hochleistungs- und leichtgewichtiges, front-geladenes, belüftetes Subwoofer-Gehäuse mit dem exklusiven 2269H Ultra Long Excursion 18" Differential Drive® Woofer von JBL. Dieser Woofer verfügt über einen Neodym-Magneten, duale Schwingspulen und duale Luftspalte, JBLs exklusive Vented Gap Cooling™ sowie einen ultrastabilen Verbundstoff-Konus für hohe Auslenkung und extrem lange Lebensdauer. Der Woofer ist in der Lage, eine maximale Spitze-Spitze-Auslenkung von 89 mm (3,5") zu erreichen.
