Estensione della pluripremiata Serie AE, la famiglia AE Compact è costituita da sistemi di altoparlanti 2-vie ad alta potenza che combinano flessibilità e alta fedeltà. Vanno da una singola scatola point-and-shoot da 5,25" a sistemi di altoparlanti dual 8" progettati specificamente per soddisfare meglio le esigenze di progettisti e artisti.
I modelli ultra-compatti AC15 e AC25 includono un tweeter a cupola da 1" mentre i modelli AC16, AC26, AC18 e AC28 sono dotati di driver di compressione a uscita da 1" che forniscono chiarezza sonica e dettagli nitidi. Inoltre, gli AC18 e AC28 con le guide d'onda ruotabili Progressive Transition™ di JBL offrono al progettista del sistema una scelta di pattern di copertura di 90° x 50° o configurazioni 120° x 60° consentendo l'orientamento sia verticale che orizzontale dell'enclosure dell'altoparlante.
