NAMM (Booth #14508) – ANAHEIM, Calif.—
HARMAN Professional Solutions today announced the winner of the Design My JBL contest at the 2019 NAMM Show.

After more than 800 JBL fans submitted custom artwork for special edition JBL 305p MkII studio monitors, artist Elliott Baker was selected as the winner. Baker’s winning design will be used for a limited edition version of the 305p MkII that will be available on Amazon.com in the Summer of 2019. Five percent of sales proceeds will be donated to the NAMM Foundation to support musical education.

“The Design My JBL contest was a resounding success, we would like to thank all the participants for their incredible entries,” said Mohit Parasher, Executive Vice President and President, HARMAN Professional Solutions. “We’re excited to unveil the special edition JBL 305p MkII studio monitors at the 2019 NAMM show. We’re also proud to donate 5% of the proceeds to the NAMM Foundation, which will help advance active participation in music making by supporting scientific research, philanthropic giving and public service programs.”

In addition to winning a pair of the special edition JBL 305p MkII monitors featuring his original design, Baker also received a $1000 Amazon gift card and free trip to Anaheim, California for the 2019 NAMM Show.

“I’m honored that my original artwork was selected to appear on these special edition monitors, and I would like to thank JBL for the amazing opportunity,” said Baker. “Much of my art is inspired by my dreams, and I can’t wait to see them set up in my home studio. I’m excited to be fully immersed in all that NAMM has to offer, and to see JBL unveil these special edition monitors in person.”

“Amazon is pleased to have collaborated with JBL on this incredible contest,” said Carolyn Sarnoff, Category Leader for Audio & Accessories, Musical Instruments and Home Entertainment at Amazon.com. “The 305p MkII studio monitors are highly rated by our customers, and we’re excited to make these monitors available this summer.”

“On behalf of the NAMM Foundation, we are honored and grateful for this donation to the NAMM Foundation from JBL,” said Mary Luehrsen, Executive Director of the NAMM Foundation. “JBL’s ongoing support of the NAMM Show and this wonderful donation combine to advance the work of the Foundation to support the musical and creative energies and ambitions of all people everywhere.”
