Ως επέκταση της κορυφαίας στον κλάδο σειράς AE, η οικογένεια AE Compact αποτελείται από συστήματα ηχείων 2 δρόμων υψηλής απόδοσης, που συνδυάζουν την ευελιξία με την υψηλή πιστότητα. Η γκάμα εκτείνεται από ένα μονό ηχείο 5.25" τύπου point-and-shoot έως ένα διπλό σύστημα ηχείων 8", σχεδιασμένα ειδικά για την καλύτερη εξυπηρέτηση των αναγκών τόσο των σχεδιαστών όσο και των καλλιτεχνών. Τα υπερσυμπαγή μοντέλα AC15 και AC25 περιλαμβάνουν tweeter θόλου 1", ενώ τα μοντέλα AC16, AC26, AC18 και AC28 διαθέτουν drivers συμπίεσης με έξοδο 1", παρέχοντας ηχητική καθαρότητα και εξαιρετική λεπτομέρεια. Επιπλέον, τα AC18 και AC28, που διαθέτουν τους Περιστρεφόμενους Κυματοδηγούς Progressive TransitionTM της JBL, προσφέρουν στον σχεδιαστή του συστήματος τη δυνατότητα επιλογής σχήματος κάλυψης, σε διαμορφώσεις 90° x 50° ή 120° x 60°.
