HARMAN Professional Solutions’ JBL EON618S Powered Subwoofer Provides True Low-Frequency Extension, Durability and Wireless Control for Portable PA
NORTHRIDGE, California — Today, HARMAN Professional Solutions’ JBL is adding to its latest-generation JBL EON600 Series with the JBL EON618S, an 18-inch, 1000W, self-powered subwoofer. With a purposefully designed large-volume enclosure to support true low-frequency extension, the JBL EON618S is tuned to perform optimally with the JBL EON610, JBL EON612 and JBL EON615 full-range systems.
With an impressive array of market-proven ergonomic and aesthetic design elements, the JBL EON618S features premium handles, a standard M20 threaded pole cup and an extremely rugged enclosure. DSP parameters include selectable crossover presets, while presets for JBL EON600, JBL EON200 and other manufacturers’ full-range loudspeakers, can be controlled via Bluetooth using the JBL EON Connect iOS and Android app.
The JBL EON618S features a maximum SPL output of 134 dB, with a frequency range of 31Hz – 150Hz (-10 dB), a frequency response of 42.5Hz – 150Hz (-3 dB), at a light weight of 78 pounds. With 1,000W of highly efficient Class-D power, it has been designed to maximize cabinet volume while maintaining a highly transportable footprint.
Since their introduction in 1995, almost one million of HARMAN’s JBL EON portable PA loudspeakers have been used for countless applications, from traveling musicians and DJs to presidential addresses and much more. The benefits of EON loudspeakers explain their popularity: clear and powerful sound, durability and light weight for easy transport, plus a sleek design that allows them to blend visually with any environment. In January 2014, JBL Professional introduced the JBL EON600 Series loudspeakers, featuring new waveguide technology for uniform coverage, a sleek new design with a new enclosure for road-worthy durability, and Bluetooth® control of all EQ functions for easy system adjustment. The JBL EON600 Series leverages the latest technologies in cabinet materials, acoustic science, transducer design and user friendliness, delivering the quality of a high-end studio monitor in a fully professional, highly flexible, easy to use and portable system for today’s working musicians and sound providers.
HARMAN Professional Solutions is applying lessons learned from the JBL EON Series’ success to its organization. Closer integration of technologies, enhanced UX and ease of use and a clear focus on the customer use case has inspired HARMAN Professional Solutions to reorganize into customer/facing strategic business units for the enterprise and entertainment markets. Doing so allows HARMAN Professional Solutions to design systems tailored to customer needs, provide deeper partnership and customer care and develop technology roadmaps for vertical markets that make the customer more effective, efficient and successful.
