CHANGWON, South Korea—
3.15 Art Center recently collaborated with TechData Co., Ltd. and HARMAN Professional Solutions to upgrade their concert hall with a class-leading JBL audio system for events, live performances and more.

3.15 Art Center is a multi-purpose venue dedicated to enhancing the creativity and diversity of the performing arts. In order to provide pristine sound quality for live performances in their 1,100-seat concert hall, 3.15 Art Center recently decided to upgrade their existing sound system with a state-of-the-art audio solution. Together with TechData Co., Ltd.—one of the world’s largest technology distributors—3.15 Art Center outfitted their concert hall with JBL VTX V20 line-array loudspeakers, VTX S25 subwoofers, SRX812P powered speakers and Crown I-Tech 4x3500HD amplifiers.

“3.15 Art Center asked us to deploy an audio solution capable of outputting high sound pressure levels with a flat frequency response,” said Jonathan Choi, Tech Lab Engineer, TechData Co., Ltd. “Due to the close proximity and steep slope of the audience seats, we knew we would need a high-powered line array in order to provide even coverage throughout the theater. Considering these factors, we selected JBL loudspeakers for their impressive SPL and highly directional output.”

TechData Co., Ltd. equipped the theater with JBL VTX V20 three-way line-array speakers for the main sound system. The V20 is specifically engineered to provide stable 105-degree horizontal coverage while delivering linear, transparent sound. The flexible suspension system allows for quick and easy rigging, expediting the installation process. JBL VTX S25 subwoofers provide industry-leading low frequency output in a compact, suspendable design. Crown I-Tech 4x3500HD amplifiers deliver clean, reliable power to the system and offer advanced networking capabilities. JBL SRX812P full range powered speakers are used as stage monitors to provide clear, intelligible sound for performers on stage. SRX812P speakers are also used as front-fill speakers to ensure even coverage in the first and second rows. SRX812P speakers combine JBL drivers, DSP and HiQnet networking functionality with Crown amplification and DriveCore technology for unprecedented performance and control.

"At 3.15 Art Center, we host a wide range of events throughout the year and required a high-end audio system to deliver world-class sound without the aid of a rental company,” said Woong Heo, Art Centre Sound Director, 3.15 Art Centre. “TechData suggested a JBL audio solution and we have been very impressed with the results. The V20’s offer a flat frequency response and high SPL in a compact, easy-to-install package.”

“We are delighted to have collaborated with 3.15 Art Center and introduced world-class audio systems in this distinguished venue,” said Ramesh Jayaraman, VP & GM HARMAN Professional Solutions, APAC. "HARMAN is thrilled to be a part of this project. Partnering with TechData Co., Ltd. has been an enriching experience, and we would like to thank them for their unwavering confidence in HARMAN's products as they continue to bring unique and engaging experiences to the fore.”
