Line Array Calculator III (LAC-III) is no longer under active development and its mechanical and acoustic results may not accurately reflect the latest product specifications, safety guidelines, or acoustic data.
For the most accurate and up-to-date calculations, please use Venue Synthesis, which incorporates the latest acoustic data and mechanical safety requirements.
NEW FEATURES AND IMPROVEMENTS:
Updated the .LAC3 file format:
- New file format brings LAC into parity with Venue Synthesis allowing for a unified file import experience into JBL Performance and Performance Manager.
- Added a Number of Arrays control on the Mapping page. This control has no effect within the LAC application but allows for an array quantity to be set when importing files in either control software.
- Files created in older versions of LAC can be opened in LAC 3.9.0 and re-saved to update to the new file format.
BUG FIXES:
- Fixed an issue preventing SRX900 Arrays from having greater than 8 cabinets in an array using the SRX900 PB.
- Fixed a popup presenting users a “Save Changes” dialog box when double clicking to open a file.
- Fixed an issue with ground stacked systems reporting an incorrect height after changing between product types.
- Fixed the rear point weight calculation for V25-II systems in dual point suspension mode with a VT-4889 frame and a pullback.
