يُعدّ VTX B18 مكبر الصوت الجهير الأحادي بقياس 18 بوصة من الجيل التالي من JBL Professional، وقد صُمّم ليكمّل أنظمة تعزيز الصوت كاملة النطاق VTX. يتميز VTX B18 بمكبّر الترددات المنخفضة الجديد 2288H بقياس 18 بوصة من JBL، المُهندَس لتحسين الخطية وزيادة الحساسية وتوفير إزاحة فائقة الطول. ويعتمد 2288H على تقنية Differential Drive من JBL بملف صوتي مزدوج وفجوة مزدوجة، التي توفّر تبديداً أفضل للحرارة وضغط طاقة أقل ونطاقاً ديناميكياً أوسع مقارنةً بالتصاميم التقليدية أحادية الملف. ويتضمن B18 تصميم منفذ الترددات المنخفضة الأسي Slip Stream™ المسجّل ببراءة اختراع من JBL، ذا الفتحتين المخروطيتين المزدوجتي التوسّع، لتحسين تدفق الهواء وتقليل الاضطراب الهوائي المسموع حتى عند الإزاحة القصوى. ويشترك B18 في التصميم الصناعي مع منتجات سلسلة VTX A من JBL، ويتمتع بالعرض ذاته وبأجهزة التعليق نفسها مثل VTX A8، مما يتيح استخدام المنتجين معاً في تكوينات متنوعة معلّقة أو مكدّسة على الأرض. ويمكن نشر VTX B18 في تكوينات متعددة الاتجاهات أو قلبية الاتجاه، في مصفوفات تصل إلى 16 وحدة صوتية.
